Mt. San Jacinto College
STEM Building
The 57,709-SF building includes labs and classrooms to accommodate the community colleges Biology, Micro-biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Physics, and Math programs. The innovative labs will enable instructors to engage with all students at once while also enhancing individual learning, which is critical for student success.
The Observation2™ VAV fume hoods are designed to enhance safety and visibility in laboratory environments. With a combination of sashes that allow for containment at face velocities as low as 60 feet per minute (fpm), these hoods ensure effective fume control while minimizing airflow energy consumption. The 36” high viewing area, along with side viewing windows, improves line of sight for users. The 5° angled sash further enhances visibility, making it ideal for both instructional settings and detailed observation, providing a better experience for lab personnel.
These warm and inviting labs showcase Mott’s exquisite flush overlay rotary sliced maple veneer casework, complemented by custom maple veneer student workstations and instructor demonstration stations, all highlighted by elegantly curved ends that add a touch of sophistication and style.
The lab bench modules will allow for maximum flexibility to accommodate today’s programs, as well as future needs.
